The True Love Romantic Relationship

Relationship Guidance

Do you want your relationship to work? Or are you going to continue to sabotage it while blaming your partner? Do you know how to tell your partner that you’re afraid or insecure about a situation? Because if you can’t do that, you’ll only resort to behavior as a form of communication. Then you’re playing games; your pride leaves you unable to see it. Maybe it’s because it’s an economic arrangement. Or possibly appearances give you a sense of validation. Probably it’s your low sense of self-worth that needs to see a display; your partner a mess over you, then you feel important enough to him or her. Is it because you don’t trust love? Or is it because you have unresolved trauma and you refuse healing, using your relationship as a drug or as a band aid? Like a band aid on cancer… Oh, I see; it’s your partner that triggers you because they aren’t on a healing path like you are…

Not so fast. Your unwillingness to leave the relationship makes you a hypocrite. You can’t heal under those circumstances. Your lover seeks to poke your wounds to keep you off balance, insecure, needy, and therefore dependent. If you suggest that you can’t leave because of your financial situation, then healing is far out of reach for you. Choosing people to depend on, instead of the Universe, or God, or Source (whatever you call it), you walk around as a raw nerve without enamel, exposed for manipulation and exploitation. With your wounds festering, you have no choice but to utilize dishonest behavior to protect your deep hurts; arousing suspicion and jealousy for gaining a sense of leverage in your relationship. Sounds like a living hell. And it will only get worse, with betrayal just around the corner. Tit for tat will only escalate until one or both of you burn it all to the ground. It doesn’t have to be this way.

There is such a thing as an ideal romantic partner for you. This person is out there. True love and security exists. However, it’s not within the functioning of the universe for that person to show up unless you’re on a healing path; otherwise you’d destroy it. Your ideal partner would be on a healing path as well; like attracts like. Both of you would naturally assist in one another’s healing. Making great strides into uncharted territory of intimacy. Experiencing unimaginable closeness and bliss. Yet… If you remain in a relationship that constantly cuts at the edges, ripping the scabs off one another’s wounds, you won’t discover what’s right for you. Instead, you’ll fight to survive the empty desert, yearning for anything and everything from him or her without ever feeling quenched. Take a leap of faith and leave. It’ll hurt, but you can do it. When healing becomes more important than relationships, the universe will provide someone for you beyond your wildest dreams.
